Dr. Shuzhen Luo, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at
the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, FL since 2023 Fall.
Her work lies in the intersection between human-robot interaction, machine learning, wearable robotics, control and biomechanics.
Before joining ERAU, she worked as a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Rutgers University,
New Jersey Institute of Technology, NC State University and UNC-Chapel Hill.
She obtained Ph.D. degree at Nankai University.

Dr. Luo recently published a groundbreaking paper titled "Experiment-free exoskeleton assistance via learning in simulation" as the first author in the prestigious journal Nature. The paper is now available for public access. Congratulations to all the authors!

Dr. Luo received the CoE Research and Innovation Stimulus Grant and the project title is "Advancing Space Missions: AI Computing-Based, Human-Robot Collaboration in Reduced-Gravity Environments".

Dr. Luo received the FY25 Faculty (FIRST) Grant and the project title is "Structural Optimization of Personalized 3D-Printed Exoskeleton Using Machine Learning-Based Human-Robot Interaction Simulation".
